Segun los manifestantes de las comunidades de San Miguel Ixtahuacan y Sipacapa que ayer por la manana realizaron una manifestacion frente a Europlaza, zona 14, el dia era crucial: debia coincidir con la asamblea de accionistas de Gold Corp., en Vancouver, Canada.

A sus protestas les llamaron la asamblea de los "otros accionistas", en relacion a que ellos tambien tienen que ver con las actividades de esta empresa, en la Mina Marlin. Y sus "finanzas", afirman, estan en "numeros rojos". Resquebrajamiento de viviendas debido, indican, a las explosiones que realiza la mina, contaminacion de rios, supuestos enganos en la compra de sus terrenos, mujeres y lideres de la comunidad con orden de captura, por protestar.

La compania dice "no saber nada" al respecto. Jorge Mario Sandoval, de Montana, menciona que los manifestantes no les hicieron llegar nada por escrito. "No sabemos cuales eran las peticiones concretas. Estamos abiertos al dialogo".
