Analysis

For more than two decades, NISGUA has been known for its provision of high-quality research and hard-hitting commentaries on issues critical to Guatemala. In addition to writing original analysis, NISGUA translates and distributes critiques and essays from Guatemalan experts, practitioners, and scholars, acting as one of the few national organizations to amplify the voice of Guatemalan specialists internationally.

NISGUA shares the alternative, and often marginalized, perspectives reflected in these analyses with U.S. government officials, activists, scholars, and the media. As a result, these groups rely heavily on NISGUA as a source for the most reliable, up-to-date, critical studies available on Guatemala today.
