throughout the U.S. speaking to church, solidarity,
law, women's, university and an array of other groups
about grassroots work and the general situation in Guatemala.
They discuss their work for democracy, human rights
and socioeconomic justice, a task that in recent months
has become much more dangerous.

2005 Tour: 500 Years of Resistance

traveled around the U.S. and Canada to share stories
of resistance and struggle against oppression.
The speakers addressed ending gender-based violence
and the GLBT community in Guatemala, finding alternative
economic models to CAFTA, indigenous resistance
to mining, and the effects of migration on Guatemalan
society.
